Dyson Pure Cool Link Air Purifier

Dyson Pure Cool Link Air Purifier

When you think of Dyson, you usually think of well-engineered vacuum cleaners or fans. The Pure Cool is the company’s very first Air Purifier, but one thing that makes it so unique is that it can be controlled from anywhere in the world using your smartphone. The Pure Cool looks exactly like Dyson’s AM70 Tower fan, but instead of heating or cooling your phone, it cleans the air. This is due to the HEPA Filters that is installed in the base. The pier cool link is reported to remove 99.97 percent of particles as small as .3 microns. So that includes pollutants like mold, asbestos, older smokes and even carbon dust. The pier cool is not as wide as other purifiers but its taller and a hundred one centimeters or 40 inches. It is well built, and unlike the majority or other purifiers, it is not just a big typical plastic box. The top portion of this unit is a blameless fan, and the bottom holds the HEPA Filter and Remote control. Putting it together is out easy as well. All you have to do is, just connect the top of the fan to the base and when you hear a click, you’re simply ready to go.

The fan oscillates and hence it can be put anywhere in the room, and because it is so tall, you will cover the majority of the space within the room. There is not much setup involved either. All you have to do is, just set it up and plug it in the wall and set the levels between 1 and 10. Also, if you re wondering about the noise, then it is completely nonexistent between the level 1 and 4. Beyond that when you go to about a level 10, it is certainly noticeable but not something that is going to bother you at all. And if you not sure on what level to set it to, you can use the automatic mode and let it do it’s thing. This device also has a mobile app for both Android and iOS that let’s you control and monitor your air purifier from anywhere in the world using your phone. This is the first Dyson product that offers an internet of things feature. Once connected, you can control the purifier from your phone just like the remote you could turn it on and off or change levels between 1 and 10. You can also setup a schedule or use night mode as well. The night mode will dim the LED lights and fan speeds. But the biggest advantage of using the app is monitoring the air quality. It shows the daily and weekly reports of the air quality in your home. There are four different levels of air quality with the good being the best and very poor being the worst.

Depending on how you set up your device, it will switch it on or off often if you re very sensitive to particles and pollutants. There are neat little features that make a difference is the fact that it shows how many hours are left before needing to change the filter. Each filter lasts for 4,300 hours which equates to about a hundred eighty days if you have it running for 24 hours a day. The filter is obviously going to cost you, and it is priced at about $74 approx. Now unless you have poor air quality, you can get away changing your filter once a year. However, if you plan on using the air purifier just as a fan, do make a note that there is no option to turn off the air filter. So maybe, if that is the case, then you can remove the filter while using it in the fan mode. And now answering the biggest question of how efficient and good it is at what it is doing, it’s quite hard to say without doing any scientific testing. But since it is using the HEPA standard, it can be assured that the air is being cleaned. Probably, one of the most appealing thing about this is the design. It is different than ay another air purifier in the market. Well, most of the other features as very similar to other air purifiers, so you can expect it to work very well.
